My tabs no longer have the close "x" icon on the right of each tab. I can only close each tab by right clicking with mouse and closing.

I can open tabs, but i notice that the x or close that was located on the right hand side of each tab up top isn't there anymore. I can only close individual tabs by right clicking on tab then closing it that way.

My tabs no longer have the close "x" icon on the right of each tab...

I have mine set to only show at the far right of the tabs bar and it only applies to the active tab (to restore pre Firefox 2 behavior). The setting is in about:config, but you may have an extension or perhaps a theme or a style that is changing it.

browser.tabs.closeButtons Integer (Firefox 2.0 and above) This preference controls how close buttons can be displayed on tabs.

0: Display a close button on the active tab only
1: (default) Display a close button on each tab
2: Don't display any close buttons
3: Display a single close button at the end of the tab bar (Firefox 1.x behavior)

Tabs Mix Plus would be the most likely extension if an extension were involved, it has its own settings.

I can only close individual tabs by right clicking on tab then closing it that way...

Besides the right-click context menu, you can also close a tab with a keyboard shortcut ("Ctrl+W").

Thanks, I ended up reloading Firefox and it is corrected. Must have been something on my computer that was affecting it.
