I hate the feature that automatically checks the reopen windows box. How do I get rid of it?

I never or rarely want to reopen the same windows when I start firefox again yet every time I erase the check in the box " reopen same windows next time" it reappears when firefox is restarted. I want to erase the check and only put it in myself when I want it.
