How would I change my default search engine from Bing to, say, Goodsearch?
When I type a word into my browser, the search automatically goes to Bing. Nothing's wrong with that, but if I could, I'd like to change it.
Chosen solution
In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter.
1. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear. Click "I'll be careful, I promise!", to continue to the about:config page.
2. In the Filter field, type keyword.enabled. 3. To use a standard Google search, right-click on keyword.URL and select Reset.

Hi oldsoultunes,
Are you talking about searching from the location (URL) bar or from the Search bar? Either way, it's pretty easy to change your search engine. Just take a look at the Knowledge Base article Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox to change the default search in the bar on the right side of the page.
Location bar search will show you how to change the key word search provider for the address bar.
Hopefully this helps!
thanks for the reply, it did help! happy 2012!
ONe more quick question. When I open a new tab, in about five seconds Bing loads. How would i change the auto-search engine on that page?
