I have firefox 9.0 - when I click on "new tab" I get one...but no place to enter web address. I tried deleting 9.0 & installed earlier version. Same problem. I can only get it to open tabs properly in safe mode, but that disables my flash player. Can anyone help?

Did you make sure that you have the Navigation Toolbar visible?

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
