I have window 7 desktop. I have removed the add-ons on my Firefox 10.0.2, but it still crashes about 20 minutes of using it. I have already reset Firefox it default. I also tried to see if uninstall and reinstall would work, but it didn't. Please help I really don't like using Google chrome!

Chosen solution

It is still crashing in the same McAfee ICF.dll, so you need to find to which McAfee component it belongs and disable it.

It shows in the Winsock LSP section of the crash report as an Internet Content Filter (don't remove that file or you break your internet connection)

Looks like a problem with McAfee software (ICF.DLL)

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You may have to contact McAfee for support.

I have had McAfee for a year and it never caused a problem. I will try the safe mode I will come back to let you know if it worked or not. By the way, I have always had my theme on default.

I am out of safe mode now. It hasn't crashed so far.

Thanks so much! I think it's my McAfee Family Protection. A tech was working on it to fix it and now it works, but I think it's messing up my Firefox somehow.
