Hi guys,

The poem player (Adobe Flash player) In www.poetryarchive.org site has stopped working in Firefox since recent. But it seems all good in Chrome. I suspect there is a conflict between Flash player 11.1/11.2 and Firefox (since 10). Anyone has any idea why it happens? We haven't got any new release in PoetryArchive for quite a while. Therefore, we're pretty sure this is not a bug in the codes.

Cheers, Zeyin

I can't immediately see anything wrong with the HTML that SWFObject inserts into the page.

Does the SWF file care about the Flash version? There was a recent thread about problems detecting the correct version in JavaScript (Firefox Browser blocking Flash); I don't know whether this could have any effect in ActionScript.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it only allows Flash player 10 or above. could it be the problem? Do you know where to find this JavaScript? Thanks for your help!

It works with Flash 11.0 r152 for me on Linux, but not with Flash 11.1 and 11.2 versions.

The Flash item on that site works fine with Mac Opera, but not with Mac Firefox. It will not play, and the next and previous buttons do not work either. Since it is the same plugin for both browsers, it must be Firefox that is blocking it.
