When will these add on creators update their add ons already?! It is really annoying that I have updated to firefox 12 and most of the add ons aren't updated!

These add on creators have become very lazy with updating the add ons they've created! None of the creators have touched their add ons since firefox 6! Pardon me if I seem to be abrupt, but I'm just fit to be tied with this BS with firefox and what has become of it! When I first started using Firefox in 2005, it was great! Now it has fallen into disarray. I have been contemplating on using a different web browser because of all this chaos with firefox. I have already been checking out other browsers because of all the frustration!

It actually looks like you are running Firefox 6. With Firefox 12, add-ons are defaulted to compatible, so if an addon works with Firefox 4, it most likely will work with firefox 12.

Add-on creators are usually just people who have gone and made extensions in their spare time. They have jobs, families, lives, etc. Sometimes, they just don't have time for their add-ons. While it can be frustrating, like I said, Mozilla is trying to make add-ons more compatible (there is only so much that can be done if an add-on maker won't update their add-on). But i would try updating to firefox 12 and then checking for updates for your add-ons. staying with such an old version of Firefox as 6 is not wise for security reasons alone.

Like I said, I already have updated to 12.0 and 6.0 has been uninstalled. I would not be able to install 12 if 6 was still installed. As for your comment about makers having a life, family, work, etc, I realize that may be the case, but if it is, that's no excuse. I'm sure it does not take an entire day to create an add on, except maybe getting rid of errors and bugs and the like and even that doesn't take 24 hours. However, if creating an add on interferes with their personal lives too much, then perhaps they should not have made an add on for firefox or at least thought about doing it in the first place if it was going to be an inconvienience for them. If firefox does not want a bad name and other users end up choosing other web browsers for their systems, then maybe firefox needs to get after these little, petty, unnessecary issues and end up losing users in the process, especially with who they are doing business with such as those who talking about in this complaint of mine. Don't forget, users are paying tons of money to their internet providers and firefox gets their money from the providers and I would like my finances being paid to someone who is worth it. I'm sure you are aware of that anyhow. Again, do forgive me for my sarcasm, it's just that this situation is quite aggravating though.

It looks like one of your add-ons (Blingee Toolbar?) has corrupted your user agent string, which is now providing false information. Reset it as follows:

  1. Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Press the big button to bypass the warning.
  3. In the search box, type general.useragent
  4. Right-click any search results that appear in bold text and choose Reset.

Afterwards, once again check for add-on updates.

That seems really harsh, seeing as most people who makes add-ons are doing it in their free time, have no obligation to continue doing it and really probably don't make much money from it (even if they do ask for contributions, i doubt many users do give them). So, it's pretty ungrateful to say that they should never have made an add-on you used and then they later on had life come up.

And no, Firefox does not get any money from your internet provider, Firefox mainly gets revenue from partnerships with search providers (whom you don't pay) from bundling their search engines with Firefox.

If you ever want to you can always make your own add-ons, then you can make sure it always gets updated ;)

Whatever...Like I said, pardon me for being blunt, but if you just want to disregard my pardoning, then that's on you. This is a support forum and there are plenty of people who have complained about stuff like me or perhaps even worse. Then again on the other hand, maybe what I am saying makes some sense and you are insulted by it. Well, if I insulted you, excuse me. If you do not want to excuse me, then that's your choice. However, I'm not sorry for my theory though.

It seems all you are doing is complaining about certain add-on creators not having time to update their add-ons, and don't want to give the add-on community credit. So I'll go ahead and lock this post. If you do want to have a constructive conversation and have questions you need help with, PM me.
