restore backup

I was using the beta FF and needed to reinstall windows so used the mozilla backup utility to create a full backup which had the extension .pcv

After downloading the beta FF I found it would not recognise the pcv file but was expecting a .json file

It is vital for legal reason I retrieve the history data from the backup. Can anyone help please?

You need to use MozBackup to restore that backup.
