Hi,

Please check if this happens in Safe Mode. Safe mode disables the installed Extensions, and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/add-ons can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed in Firefox normal mode to check if an extension, theme, option or hardware acceleration is causing issues. Disabling/enabling hardware acceleration, and some types of add-ons in normal mode may require a Firefox restart.

Please don't think IE users are the only ones with this problem- or very similar because I'm using a Win7 machine, and all *I* see with this newest version 14 & 13 (before it) of FF is proof that FF has officially killed itself. Seems there's always a sort of music playing so loudly- that one can't possibly hope to hear of any overly drowned-out vocal sounds that keep trying to get above the loud music.

Saying is if one keeps trying to improve something that Never Was Broken, that program WILL be "broken" as FF finally did to ver 3.6 that at least still USED TO WORK! Way To Go guys!!

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can try to check and repair the places database with this extension:

I'm amazed at how people INSIST on walking around WHY the previous version of FF -needed- to be upgraded so badly as to create tons more problems (that never existed before!) for users to fix on their own with only minimal vague help- as if we aren't all writers of SW like you people. Your instructions were very confusing....AND I do not like your new interface even 1 bit. "If it's not broken 'fix it' until it is!"
