Why are flash games not working properly on Firefox, while they work perfectly on other browsers?
I own a MacBook os x 10.5.8 Intel core duo.
My problem started a few weeks ago, I tried playing a flash game, first it came up that i didnt have flash, which I did, so I ran an update but I already had the latest version. I gave up on the games on that page and went to newgrounds.com, but turns out everytime I try to play a game the controls wont work properly on any game.
I thought it might be my flash, so I went to chrome and played the same game, no problems, to opera, no problems, to safari also no problems. So the problem is my firefox and the flash plug in? I already uninstalled it and re installed it, downloaded it again and followed every piece of advice I could find about this, nothing works.
I appreciate some help with this matter, I like working with firefox, wouldnt want to change to other browsers.

Hi chocovanillapop, did you try to uninstall flash with adobe uninstaller ?

then try to install again the new version.
thank you

Yes, I already did that before, twice didnt work... I have done it again this time, still nothing.
Different games wont work properly on the browser, any command I use inside the flash game it only works once, or repeats itself permanently. But only in firefox.
I have a similar problem with my Windows 7 computers. 2 laptops, 1 desktop, and they all have it. My difference is that instead of in-game controls not working properly, flash games just lag horribly (to where they are not playable) in Firefox. They work fine in Chrome and IE. I've tried everything choco tried to no avail.
Hi gorgonzola357, there are some platform-specific differences between Windows 7 and MacOSX that may be relevant.
Have you tried disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3, since that feature is currently being debugged? See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
This solution worked for the most part, but overall there were still a couple times the games got choppy compared to playing them in Chrome. I also find it concerning to have to turn off a security feature to get flash objects to work correctly. I hope this all gets fixed soon. I know I'll keep a look out for a big shiny announcement saying all is well.
