Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.
Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

no made no difference also when i was starting up firefox this morning said unable to find aol please retry took 3 retrys to get home page to start up. This has all started since i did a reset so what do i do next
many thanks for your help
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
sorry can you explain in detail how i do this many thanks sorry to be a pain really appreciate your help
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder where you can find the cookies.sqlite file.
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
found
cookies.sqlite
cookies.sqlite-shm
and cookies.sqlite-wal
which one or ones do I delete
many thanks
You can delete them all.
The cookies.sqlite-shm and cookies.sqlite-wal are temporary SQLite files and should disappear when you close Firefox.
If this doesn't happen then you can delete them too.
Note that deleting (or renaming) cookies.sqlite will remove all cookies including cookies to remember you on web servers.
did that still cannot open email still get same error message can it be something to do with when i hit the rset firefox button yesterday and something to do with addons for aol sorry to be a pain
Does the same happen with other browsers or only in Firefox?

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at mail.aol.com.
Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
only in firefox if i delete it how can i reinstale it and get all my bookmarks back o you think that would sort out my email problem
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
no still nothing can someone please tell me how to sort this out otr is there a email address for firfox to see what they sugguest
nothing worse than keep getting error message all the time
