I've tried going through privacy/clear data yet many sites remain. i looked up how to disable tabs for Android but the instructions are concerning PC tabs, not Android. I'm a neat freak so not being able to tidy up is absolutely driving me insane. :/ please advise. Angela

Did you find the "Clear Private Data" option? This article might help: Clearing cookies, private data, history, and settings in Firefox for Android.

One thing on that page is a bit confusing: the video shows Android 4.x, while the steps below it are for Gingerbread.

Does that do what you need?
