Why does Feven keep re-installing after I've removed many times?

I've removed, deleted disabled this add - on many times. Have saved changes, re-started FF and exited but to no avail. Been doing this to get rid of hyperlinks showing up in my email and web pages. It's OK for a while but when hyperlinks re-appear and I check for add ons - there it is again. Are there other plug ins that are causing hyperlinks? How can I remove HL for good? Thank You.

Hello,

It sounds to me like you have some malware that is hijacking your browser. I suspect that the malware application is reinstalling the add-on each time you remove it.

Please try scanning your PC with the following anti-virus/malware scanners which work with your existing antivirus software:

I've had particular success with HitManPro. Often standard anti-virus software will not remove these kinds of programs because the user has supposedly "given consent" to the installation of the application. Most likely it is hidden within the installation of another application.

As well as running the scans you should try to check through the installed applications on your computer and uninstall any that you think might be related.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

I hope this helps. Let me know if not.
