Firefox update will not completely install. I have a screen capture showing it hanging at 15.8 out of 15.9 MB..

Unable to completely download the firefox upgrade. For whatever reason it is not automatically updating it. I forced it this time and at the very end the progress wheel just spins and spins. (Happens on other web pages as well, specifically yahoo mail.) I am at 15.8 of 15.9 MB. I have Windows 7 on dial-up so obviously extremely slow download. I never use IE browser. I am unable to paste the screen cap of the dialogue box into this message showing the hang @ 15.8.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Thank you for these suggestions. I will post the outcome as soon as possible.

Update: Following a restart of the computer it does now show I am up to date with FF 25.0 so I guess what was showing on the screen actually wasn't accurate, that it did complete the update. All I needed to do was restart. But the suggestions are helpful as it never occurred to me to upload it to a USB stick and then transfer it to my computer. The troubleshooting links I'm sure will be helpful in the future as well.

Thanks again.  :-)

I would just go to a local libary and download onto a USB drive, but you can try downloading the full installer.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
