Will download overwrite Google Chrome and/or Google search apps or their shortcuts? Will I still have the ability to use them? I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Verizon is my service provider. Also, I plan to install Adobe flash player if this changes anything, Thanks

Nope, installing Firefox will leave your chrome installation and data just fine. You can use multiple browsers on your device at the same time with no problem.
