Please tell what password I'm supposed to use for Admin. Tried current user, and nothing happens. Downloaded but won't install
Clicked on run as current user and nothing happens. With run ad Administrator, I don't know what password it is asking for. Help?

You need the password for that Windows Admin account.
That's the problem. I don't have a password for the admin on this pc. I tried to change it to current user, but nothing happens.
You can't install Firefox without the Admin password. If it's not your computer, you can try to get the owner of it to input their password.
I remembered something about changing the directory to something other than C:/ so it would install without admin privs. the-edmeister: I thought there was a way to do that?
If you can't do that, try getting Firefox Portable instead. I won't post the link here since it's easily searchable.

I am the owner of this PC and the only one who uses it. Have never been asked or directed to enter an admin password before. If there is a way to input one, I don't know how.
Hard to understand why something free would be so hard to install. In fact some time ago I had Firefox but went back to IE. Don't remember it being a problem to install before.
Will search for Firefox Portable.
Thanks for the responses.
Also wonder why you get the option to change to "Current User" which shows my name and PC Name, but nothing happens when you do that.
Moses,
Sorry I am not familiar with that.
lotekpat,
Every time I have done a fresh Windows installation on W2K and WinXP, I had to create a password for the Admin account. Then I used the same password for the user account that I would be using everyday so I only have to remember one.
I suspect that you are on a later version of Windows, based upon your first posting being from MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.0 . Maybe Vista handles that differently than I am familiar with.
I do agree with Moses, to try Portable Firefox. Shouldn't need Admin privileges to install it.

It's rather odd that you need an admin password when you are the only user on it. This leads me to something malicious. Just to be safe, Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
