Why can't you leave appearance alone?
The continual changes to the appearance of Firefox are a royal pain in the ass. Themes from previous versions often won't work.
IMO, the appearance of 29.0 sucks and Classic Theme Restorer is of little help.
As part of installation of new versions, why can't you simply have an option "Keep previous theme", and be done with it? I have been using a particular theme that I and many others have preferred for many years. I have no desire to change it. With various updates, we have had to jump through hoops to restore it. I don't care what Chrome looks like.

Thank you for trying the new Firefox. I'm sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.
I understand your frustration and surprise at the removal of these features but I can't undo these changes. I'm just a support volunteer and I do not work for Mozilla so getting angry with me won't do any good. But you can send any feedback about these changes to http://input.mozilla.org/feedback. Firefox developers collect data submitted through there then present it at the weekly Firefox meeting. .
Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. I hope you’ll find one that works for you:
- Use the Classic Theme Restorer to bring back the old design. Learn more here: How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox
- Use the Add-on Bar Restored to bring back the add-on bar. Learn more here: What happened to the Add-on Bar?
Or if you want to go back to a previous version, completely feel free to use the old, unsupported, and insecure versions of Firefox. Please remember that this puts your machine and personal data at an increased risk. You may then wish to mitigate that by having well rehearsed bare metal restore strategies or using a virtual machine.
- See also Install an older version of Firefox
Note: Please remember to be wary of what sites you download from as they may advertise Firefox 22 for example and package it as a Beta, RC, or other pre-release version and may have malware/adware or other unwanted items.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I didn't mean to take out my frustration on you personally. I am new to this forum and assumed that my comments would be passed on.
I have gone back to FF 28.0 and restored the appearance that I can live with. I have also used the link you kindly provided to post my feedback to Mozilla.
The only thing I would add is that developers are a lot more likely to read and respond to a well thought out comment rather than a rant so choose your words wisely when messaging them ;)
Hi,
Glad to hear that you've submitted feedback and please follow momo-no-gogo's advice about not ranting. :)
