I want to unblock some emails Firefox is blocking.
Some of my emails from a known source are being blocked by Firefox and there is no way for me to indicate I want emails from these addresses to be allowed. This is a recent problem

hello, firefox is a webbrowser - i don't understand how it is related to blocking emails. in case you are refering to a certain webmail provider, then you'd likely have to contact their support...
Not resolved. Firefox is blocking my emails from numerous addresses. There is no way for me to say it is OK to allow these emails.!!!
Are you using a web based mail service like Hotmail or Gmail?
I am using Gmail.
consult google's support -> http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=9008
I will try that. But this is the message I amgetting and it is from Firefox.
"THIS CONNECTION IS UNTRUSTED You have asked Firefox to connect securely to mail-attachment.ggogleusercontent.com but we can't confirm that your connection is secure. Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this sites identify can't be verified. What Should I do? If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue. My only option is: "Get me out of here! Or Technical details. That is not helpful.
ok, this message is indeed coming from firefox and does indicate a problem with the encrypted connection to google's servers. when you click onto technical details on this page, which error code is shown?
Certificate not valid until 5/30/2012 7 a.m. This is 5/22.. Eror code: sec_error_expired_certificate
It is now June 8, 2012!

OK . Date was wrong, time was OK. Both are correct now.
ok, then the page should ideally load normally again. (maybe you have to press ctrl+f5 to reload the page and overwrite the cache or restart your pc once)
If correcting the time didn't help then try to rename the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder to cert8.db.old or delete the cert8.db file to remove intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.
If that helped to solve the problem then you can try to remove the renamed cert8.db.old file.
Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the cert8.db.old file to cert8.db to restore the previous intermediate certificates. Firefox will automatically store intermediate certificates when you visit websites that send such a certificate.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Thank you. I will try the above suggestions.
