I have created two new email accounts with Ionos.co.uk (1and1) and I am now trying to set up these accounts in my Firefox client.

I have tried to do this several times, with two new ionos accounts, both automatically and by entering the server information manually. In all cases ff only creates an inbox folder and nothing else. And when I close ff, and open it later, the new account (with just the inbox) has disappeared.

I have successfully set up the new accounts in Outlook (automatically) and all folders are present in Outlook.

Thanks

Firefox is a web browser, not an email client. Firefox does 'do webmail', but the 'client' part of the software of webmail resides on the webmail portal (or website) server. Firefox renders webmail as a webpage.

Mozilla does offer Thunderbird which is an email client / application.

I have the same problem by opening emailattachements ,if i choose firefox, the new tab creates nothing but never ending repetition of the headline, with another browser like microsoft edge for ex.everything works. so the mistake seems to be in the firefoxsystem

On occasions, I have been able to successfully create other folders in addition to the inbox, eg Drafts, Sent, Spam, Deleted. I say occasionally because as soon as I reopen Thunderbird all the folders (Including Inbox) have disappeared in Thunderbird, but are still present on the server and in other email clients, like Outlook, BlueMail, etc.
