I want to import data from outlook express. The second stage of the import wizard says 'Import preferences etc from: . But there is no way to enter the location of the files, and so pressing 'next' doesn't work because I haven't supplied the data. Is there just a propblem with the installation, do I need to re-install thunderbird?

Unless outlook express is installed the import does not work as components of Outlook Express are required to read the file format. As it appears your running a Linux distribution I doubt that it is.

see my notes here http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2011/07/outlook-express.html
