A few months ago I could delete an attachment from an email by clicking on the attachment name at the bottom of the email and hitting 'delete', but that no longer works.

If you right click the attachment do you get a menu popup with Delete in that? I am using version 24.6 and both right click-delete and select the attachment and press the delete key works for me. What version of Thunderbird are you using? I wonder if it is version related.

Does anything happen? Any error messages?

It's still working here for me on TB 31.1.2.

When I right click on the Attachment, a menu comes up with the Delete option.

Nothing happens when I click Delete -- it gives the pop-up saying that it is 'totally gone if I delete it' -- but then nothing happens. No error messages. The attachment is still attached. I am using 31.1.2

I just tried it again -- and it now works!!!

Thanks for your help, David
