We have a lab of Windows 7 computers. When you try to open Firefox it immediately crashes and reports an error. Crash ID: bp-239a71aa-f63f-4141-b46c-ecc5f2141103. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox ESR 31.2.0 but it did not resolve the issue. This is happening on all computers in this lab. We are using the same version of FF in all labs in the same building with no problems.

Chosen solution

hello telledge, this kind of crash can probably be solved by a clean reinstall:

  1. Download the latest ESR version of Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/ and save the setup file to your computer.
  2. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
  3. Execute the setup file you've downloaded earlier.

please report back if this did work for you!

The uninstall did not delete the Mozilla folder in program files. Once I manually deleted that it resolved the problem and I was able to do an install that worked. Thanks!
