Exiting full screen mode (F11) crashes my computer

I have no problem getting full screen with Firefox. But it doesn't exit full screen, instead when I again press F11 to exit full screen, it crashes my computer. When I re-boot, and restart firefox, it is still stuck in full screen. When I try to exit full screen, it crashes my computer again.

I'm running Linux Mint 17 64 bit. Not sure what version of firefox, I can't get to the menu (I'm using another browser to submit this).
