Hello, I purchased a new domain and created a new email. The email sends and receives from the providers set up. After Thunderbird had issues sending out I set up GMail to send/receive and that worked too. This has me believing Thunderbird may be the issue here.

Here are the recommended settings:

Username: admin@************.ca Password: Use the email account’s password. Incoming Server: slmp-550-107.slc.westdc.net IMAP Port: 993 POP3 Port: 995 Outgoing Server: slmp-550-107.slc.westdc.net SMTP Port: 465

Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

I attached a screenshot of the settings I have for the outgoing server.

I also cleared the error console then tried to send an email. Here are the issues that came up:

1. Could not read chrome manifest 'file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Thunderbird/chrome.manifest'. 2. Could not read chrome manifest 'file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Thunderbird/extensions/%7B972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd%7D/chrome.manifest'. 3. Timestamp: 2015-07-25 9:03:57 AM Warning: Use of Mutation Events is deprecated. Use MutationObserver instead. Source File: chrome://calendar/content/widgets/calendar-widgets.xml Line: 496 4. Timestamp: 2015-07-25 9:03:58 AM Error: TypeError: tab is undefined Source File: chrome://messenger/content/tabmail.xml Line: 1067 5. Timestamp: 2015-07-25 9:04:08 AM Warning: window.controllers is deprecated. Do not use it for UA detection. Source File: chrome://editor/content/ComposerCommands.js Line: 198

Thank you for taking the time to look at my issue.

Chosen solution

As said before, unless explicitly stated by your email provider, 'passwordEncrypted' won't work. Change it to 'Normal password' for the SMTP server and try again.

I honestly had that setting previously and it didn't work then. I just changed it as you suggested and it worked.

Thank you!
