why is it such a hassle to create multiple email addresses with the same user name?
I have used Eudora since 1992 and have never had a problem with creating various different email addresses with the same user name. Examples: david @ somewhere.com; castle@somewhere.com; smith@somewhere.com .
I have 5 email addresses, all with the same username and same password and not one "alias".
My question is:: Why cannot Thunderbird be as simple as Eudora in creating email addresses without "aliases"?

In Thunderbird it's called Identity. Pretty simple actually. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Suite_:_FAQs_:_Mail_Aliases
