Chosen solution

Does your other browser work?

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

Thank you for your response to my problem. After about an hour fire fox began working on its own. In all the years I have been using Firefox I never had No service available. But for some reason maybe they were doing updates it did not work. However now it is fine. Thank you for your response. I appreciate it I have always maintained that it would be very thoughtful if the various programs if they were doing maintenance would post something so that people were not trying to find solutions when there really was not a problem. It's frustrating and a waste of time. So much easier have a just said they're working on it

When Mozilla tests Firefox, it is via beta versions. No user gets the beta unless they want it.

It's possible your web service was down at the time and came back up. Or, the problem was the firewall and it was corrected.

Actually I was on the phone at the time w/ HP because Skype audio crackles terribly w/ win 10/laptop which is new/1 month old. Concluded It has to be a skype issue tho THEY spent an hour uninstalling and reinstalling skype...... however that lady at HP wanted me to type something into my browser....and FF would not work! Actually I was embarassed. So I had to use IE, it worked and so did all my other programs....except FF. Like I said, it eventually did work. But nothing had changed re: firewalls or setting changes. Had been using it right up until the HP rep wanted me to type something.....lol. Thanks again
