my email is inserted in the "copy to email" line even though I have disabled this

Mozilla keeps inserting my email address in the Copy message to: line even though I have deselected this option in the Copies and Folders area in settings. Per the help forum settings I have deselected the "All Mail" in Google's Labels settings. I'm completely baffled by this. It's like there is some 'stuck' setting in Thunderbird. Love the app other than this because I have to manually erase the email address in the copy message to box or I get duplicates of every email I've sent in my inbox. Very annoying.
