My home page is file:///C:/Home/home.html, prior to this new release it was saved as one of my favorites and when, on a new tab, I clicked it, it opened my home page. With this latest update, when I click on it it briefly shows my home page then goes to a www8.file.com page. When I go to edit the new "top site icon" for my home page there is http:// in front of the file://. When I delete the http// it reinserts it. Where do I go to fix this "enhancement"?

You can use it to see your custom HTML file in all new tabs (use the "local file" option): https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

Sorry, local file option mentioned twice in expanded description. Absolutely nothing on where that might possibly be changed. Not to mention, when working on this, opening a new tab went to a blank page. I don't mind the new page with my most recent listed for easy access.
