When I open Thunderbird there are folders indicating there are unread mails in the folder. When I open the folder there are no mails and the folder indication is reset. I have tried to repair the folder icon but that doesn't change anything. If I close Thunderbird and open it again the same folders are indicating new mails again.

I have created a mp4 document showing the problem but I can't attach it. Probably to big.

Right-click the folder - Mark folder read

That doesn't solve my problem. If the folder doesn't contain any unread mail I don't want a indication saying so.

Then I can't help you. Good luck.
