Thunderbird no longer remembers my mail passwords
Over the last two or three weeks I've been experiencing realproblems with my e mail. Basically Thunderbird won't remember my mailbox passwords. Despite me ticking the password manager box each time. I've noticed that when I fire up Thunderbird that sometimes within the password manager it has randomly dropped some mailbox passwords. I'm running on Windows 10 and haven't played around with any settings so wondering if anyone else experiencing problems or has a clue as to how I overcome the problem? Thanks all

It is possible a Thunderbird update may have caused an issue when upgrading to version 60 Try this:
In Thunderbird
- Help > Troubleshooting Information
- click on 'Open Folder' button
A new window opens showing the contents of your Profile name folder.
- Exit Thunderbird.
- Look for and delete this file: pkcs11.txt
Restart Thunderbird.

Some security programs, such as Kaspersky and ESET, have password managers that can interfere with TB password storage. Is this a possibility on your system? Or, do you have a stand-alone password manager?
Hi Thanks for the suggestion, I've been running Panda security for many years and never had an issue before. No seperate password storage system. Firefox password storage still works fine. I'm wondering if there was a software update (windows/panda or Thunderbird) that may have screwed things up a bit

Seems to be working okay now thanks although first time of opening thunderbird it still asks for two of the mailbox passwords but then all okay. So much better than it was! Many Thanks
