HI, what does this message really mean? why am i getting this? please see the accompanying image. i am trying to remote debug from a local web application. i get all the way to the point where i select inspect, but i get a blank page. i get the message. my desktop firefox version is 74.0 b9. my website name is my body science. i use firefox to make sure things are ok, then chrome. i have no problems with chrome remoting and debugging.

i have read the about:debugging several times and as you can see from the image, the everything is fine until i click inspect next to my websites URL. thanks for any advice.

Firefox for Android is getting a rewrite. As part of that work Firefox for Android is locked on Gecko version 68. To use the remote debugging tools use Firefox Preview.

thanks kbrosnan. i found another way as well, if it does not work for me, i will try yours.

here is what i found. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1594477 I always test things with firefox first, then chrome. ok, so, this will crack you up or piss you off, or both. Apparently , the lastest desktop firefox version 74.0 is NOT the one to use with the latest firefox for android 68.5.0. read below and start using the WebIDE. Still not as good as chrome remote debugging IMO.

I get exactly the same problem, but with latests Firefox Developer Edition. Connecting to: Mozilla Firefox (68.5.0) on Android 10. Connecting from: Firefox Developer Edition (74.0) on Windows 10. Trying to connect from "Mozilla Firefox (72.0.2)" results in the same error. The connection with this device used to work fine last time I checked. Maciej Jaros

Similar when connecting from Firefox Nightly (75.0a1)... So I don't think this is just a problem with a debugger not being fresh-enough. Unless you mean that Firefox on Android ("debuggee"?) should be only 7 days old... And I really hope you don't mean that

i hope i am not breaking any firefox posting rules by asking a question within a question, but thanks again kbrosnan, i posted a new forum post (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1281497). would you happen to know if the Firefox remote debugger WebIDE has a way for the image of my phone that is in the new browser session on my laptop that happens when i click "screen shot", can simultaneously reflect page changes or verbiage i enter on my phone? Chrome does that. thanks for any help
