What to do when Firefox never let watch video and listen audio because of the yellow bar that inform on component installation?
Hi, I'm trying to access to audio and video website like Spotify (Audio) and DisneyPlus (Audio + Video) but a yellow bar on top inform me to try later because necessary component for audio and video is installing.
This issue is present since different day, I tried to reinstall, reset Firefox but the issue persist. Windows 10 2004, Firefox 78.02.
Why no issue with the browser and Firefox should show a banner and ask to try later where the situation is the same? Why Firefox is not allowing me to watch video and to listen audio now?
I hate Firefox when do this... it's not intelligent.

Aha, I wonder how that got in there? That server is how Firefox gets to the Widevine plugin files.
jscher2000 thanks for the reply :) Was not easy understand where the issue was.
What else is in the hosts file assuming that this isn't the only item in this file ?
Do you possibly have or had software that uses the hosts file to block ads or other content ?

What issue do you have? Can you please add more details?
My topic was about Windows, in MAC I have no idea. You can do a search on the web or better ask to Apple.
hi leslie6
The first to try is to toggle DRM off/on.
Try to toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components (Widevine).
- Options/Preferences -> General: Play DRM
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-drm
You can check the Browser Console to inspect the XHR request for the Widevine plugin.
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Tools/Browser_Console
