I recently had to re-install Thunderbird due to what I suspect was a disc corruption that caused it to stop working. The re-install is completed and it's up and running, and I'm trying to restore all my old emails and addresses from a recent backup file created with Mozbackup. Whilst the restore function within Mozbackup seems to run, none of the emails or address are restored when it's done.

Mozbackup has stopped working long ago, sorry. See http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/download.php

I believe I heard that the backup is just a zip file. You might try using the mozbackup file as a zip and work directly with the files.
