My Windows crahed terribly the other day, so i had to install Windows and my Programms, Thunderbird (78.3.3) being one of them. I managed to import (Copy and Paste the Profile Folder in Appdata\Roaming). All my Mails and Filters are there, but Thunderbird doesnt download new Mails (I dont get an Error, it just says it connected, endlessly) and i cant add Email-addresses (Like gmail).

I then created a new Profile in Thunderbird, added my Mails (Like Gmail) and it workes Flawlessly. No Idea why my old Profile wont do the same, but id like to know because i want to use my old profile where i have my filters and old Mails that i want to keep.

When trying to add a gmail-account to Thunderbird, i get the errormessage included below. Translation: Thunderbird could not find settings for this Email-Account.

Any Ideas on how to fix this Problem? Thanks in advance

I think it will be easier and faster to transfer data from the old to the new profile. Filters can be copied between profiles and accounts; look for msgFilterRules.dat in each account subfolder of Mail and ImapMail in the old profile folder. Local mail is stored in mbox files - large files with no extension, named after folders - in account subfolders of Mail and ImapMail, and Mail/Local Folders. Copy the mbox files to Mail/Local Folders in the new profile, but don't copy large numbers of mail from Local Folders to IMAP folders when TB is open.

For address books, copy abook.sqlite and history.sqlite (Personal Address Book and Collected Addresses) from the old profile to the new; with other books, export to LDIF in the old profile, import in the new profile. Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles, to manage profiles.
