Signature always that the bottom of a reply

I realise there was a thread on this but i could see no solution. I am very new to Thunderbird.

I have amended the setting to put the sig above the quoted message but it doesn't.

What can I do?

Check your settings again that they look like this.

That is exactly how it looks. I tried changing the 'and place my signature' box and then changing it back but it still is at the bottom of any email.

Do you have more than one account listed in the account settings (like Local Folders) that might also need the same setting as it is per account?

There is only one account. There are several identities using an add-on recommended here. the various folders in Local Folders have each got a separate identity but it is all one account.

what addon?... it sound like a suspect.
