When composing a message, Thunderbird crashes when I interact with the body of the message - either just clicking the body or starting to type in it.

This just started today. There've been no desktop updates or plugin updates that I'm aware of. I've had version 91 installed for a little while with no issues. I tried opening Thunderbird in Troubleshooting Mode, and I just upgraded to 91.0.1, and it's still happening.

I'm on a MacBook Pro, using Catalina 10.15.7.

Chosen solution

to borrow from the bugzilla report This signature is essentially "generic memory corruption"

I think perhaps try clearing the cache in preferences and see if that helps. I am guessing the corruption is coming from somewhere and that is as good a place to start as any.
