Hi All,

I'm looking to hire a thunderbird add-on programmer to create an app for me, which after testing we can then share with all thunderbird users.

The add on is quite simple, all I want it to do is recognize the address that I am sending the email from, and then apply my address book specific to that sent email address alias.

I use thunderbird for two email addresses, and they are for two different businesses. But when I send an email from one business thunderbird searches through all my address books and auto selects contacts from all books. So what always happens is "john appleseed" who is associated with company A is selected before "john bobsled" who is associated with company B.

This is annoying when I'm trying to send to john bobsled. If thunderbird recognized that I was sending from company B, and john bobsled was in a company B address book, then it would select john bobsled instead of john appleseed. This would prevent me from emailing the wrong john, which is currently happening a lot.

If you are interested in creating this add-on for me (and the community) please reach out to me and let me know what it would cost.

Thanks!

Cliff.

I think instead of looking in support (hardly a hiring platform. You might try in the addon developer mailing list. https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/addons

Not that it is really meant for such things I think they will let you ask.
