After opening the browser I can click links and open new tabs perhaps two or three times. Thereafter, a new tab opens with the link in the address bar but nothing happens... refreshing, highlighting the link and pressing enter and even selecting the drop down does nothing. I need to close the browser and start again every time.

I don't know if this is related but the issue only arose after installing Mozilla VPN last month (although there have been a couple of Firefox updates since then too).

The screenshot shows the back/forward/refresh icons greyed out and nothing happening (this, ironically, was me trying to access the Support page).

Any advice?

Thanks Fred, it was disconnected but I have just uninstalled it and it Firefox seems to be working again. Seems strange that two products from the same source cause a failure in one.

Do you know if there is a place to report this to Mozilla as a potential bug?

Try without using the VPN. Is the problem still there?

I think you need to fill out a bug report. Make sure you include all information they will need to fix the issue.

Read this first: Bug Writing Guidelines{web link}

Then go to: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Be sure to include everything that the people there need to know.

See Bugzilla etiquette before commenting in bug reports. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html

Please be sure to post the link to the bug here.
