Hello here is the following when I updated my Thunderbird back around the 7/14/22 to v102 it merged my 2 emails together and after that now I am having password issues with the only account today I recreated the other account but not getting any emails at all for either accounts Thank You Please Help peterlysym@verizon.net

This is a public forum please do not post your email address as it not neccesary - all comments will display in this forum which you can see using internet connection and a browser - as well as sending email to whatever email address you used to create firefox account. You can always logon to your webmail account to see emails if you cannot download them into Thunderbird.

Do not post other important personal information such as telephone numbers because this forum is manned by other Thunderbird users fom all around the world in a voluntary unpaid manner and no one makes phone calls to anyone. All communication is in this forum question. So if you get a phone call then it is not from Thunderbird nor Mozilla.

At this point it is not known whether you are using correct settings or whether Thunderbird is being prevented from access to internet etc etc. So we need some information.

Provide Settings info: In Thunderbird

  • Menu icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
  • Scroll down to 'Mail and News Accounts'
  • Copy all the text in that location and paste the information into this forum question OR create a jpg image and upload the image into the forum question.

Then Exit Thunderbird Access Firewall - it might be controlled by your Anti-Virus product.

Is Thunderbird program set up as an allowed program ? If no then you need to make sure Thunderbird is in the list as allowed program. If yes, it is already in the list, block it, ok it. Then Access Firewall agian and set up as allowed and ok it. This makes sure the program is not being blocked from accessing the internet.

Please Confirm : Is Thunderbird listed in the Firewall as an allowed program? What anti-virus program are you using ?
