I deleted the account on firefox on my mother's mac and all the files disapeared

more options

My mother recently passed away and I've been using the web browser to check her mail. I decided that I wanted to stop her computer from sending and receiving the emails on her computer and deleted the account thinking that the files would still be there. But alas, they all disappeared even though I didn't click the delete files button. is there anyway to recover them? do I need to set up her account on this computer again for them to reappear. I really hope this is the case, as there was so much information that I needed in those files.

If you deleted the actual email account, contact the service provider for help as Dropa suggested.

If you removed the account from the email program but NOT the actual email account, those files might have been removed, but that could vary depending on the mail program.

Was your mother using Thunderbird, the stand-alone email program? If so, a moderator can move your question to that forum.
