Changing Cursor size in TB 10.2.3.3
How do I go about changing the cursor that is used when writing emails..?
currently it is s single blinking line.
I would prefer a block/blinking one.
Chosen solution
In Thunderbird do this:
Menu icon > Settings > General Scroll to bottom and click on 'Config Editor' button You might get a friendly warning :)
This will not exist, so you need to create it - no worries, just follow instructions.
In top search type: ui.caretWidth It gets written below and offers some options. Select 'Number' Click on the + sign on the right - this creates it. Now you have give it a value. Clear whatever is already in that location and type: 10 Click on the 'tick' icon to save it. Leave this tab open so you can easily go back to it if you need to adjust that number.
Now open a new Write message and check on the size of the text cursor. If it is a bit too fat then go back to adjust number. click on the pencil icon to get the edit and reduce it to eg: 8 then clickon the tick icon to save. Open a new Write message and check thickness.
Hope this info helps you. If you are happy then select this as a 'Chosen Solution' which helps others locate information.
