I just downloaded and configured Thunderbird to access my Outlook email account. Seemed to go fine. But when I send a test message to my other (gmail) account, it does not arrive there but arrived in my Thunderbird/Outlook account. Must be a setup problem, but where? Thanks!

Better now, there was some server configuration problem.

I would first check the gmail account, as a possibility could be that it is set to forward to the Outlook account and then delete the original. That is a Gmail feature that I have frequently used.

Thanks, but no. I set up the account to keep messages separate. When I use Outlook.live webmail (from which I am attempting to migrate to TB) it works fine.
