make translate to translate ONLY SELECTED sites

hi the translate fucion in firefox is vry usefull, but i want to NOT TRANSLATE ANYTHING EXCEPT sites i select only

i.e. surfing around german site.. .leave it german, but i if i am interest in "german.de/talkshow" select it and translate only this

i see option to translate EVERYTHING and use some exception, but its the opposite of what looking for

Hi Christos, I see what you mean. I don't know whether there are any plans to add an "Always Translate" site list. Mozilla has a product suggestion site at https://connect.mozilla.org/. I think if you have time, it would be a good idea to post this request there to get into the current feedback stream. Use the "Ideas" section of the site.

Usually exceptions work with an origin (protocol and hostname), so it might not be possible to specify a specific path. I would say, for now disable the popup and if necessary use the menu to translate.

You can set this pref to false in about:config to prevent opening the translation pop-up panel.

  • about:config => browser.translations.automaticallyPopup => false

You can enable/disable this translation feature via:

  • browser.translations.enable => true|false

Note that you do not get the translation icon for pages that are in the preferred language for displaying pages list, in this case use the "3-bar" Firefox menu button.

th idea is not the "path" but a list ot FORCE instead of "prohibit"

i found this plugin ->TWP - Translate Web Pages by Filipe Dev https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/traduzir-paginas-web/

which have this option, hope will be added in built in firefox too (only domain not subpage as cor-el said but its a start..)
