How long before Nightly download site is available again?

https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-nightly-latest-ssl&os=linux64&lang=en-US returns:

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Nightly detected a potential security threat and did not continue to download.mozilla.org because this website requires a secure connection.

What can you do about it?

download.mozilla.org has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Nightly can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

Learn more… Websites prove their identity via certificates. Nightly does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for download.mozilla.org. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.bbcollab.cloud, bbcollab.cloud

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

The https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-nightly-latest-ssl&os=linux64&lang=en-US serves the current Firefox 136.0a1 Nightly channel build for me just fine.

Also works on https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/desktop-nightly/linux64/ and you can manually pick a current build from https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/2025/01/ or https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/

Just so you know as the more unstable Nightly channel gets checkins and updates twice a day, make sure the Firefox folder where ever you put it has read/write permissions for the user to get internal Firefox updates from Mozilla. If you are the only user then a easy way is to have Firefox folder in Home

Looks like you might be using some proxy or VPN (bbcollab.cloud), so maybe check the connection settings.

I've been using Linux exclusively since 1998, and have _never_ knowingly used a VPN. I presumed bbcollab.cloud was recently added to protect mozilla servers (like Cloudflare). Checking the above settings, I was surprised to see "Use system proxy settings" as I only ever use "No proxy"; but that shouldn't matter since I have _never_ used a proxy.

Thanks to James, I was able to download the latest Nightly from https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-nightly-latest-ssl&os=linux64&lang=en-US

Will close once I resolve another blocking issue (How to resolve "Nightly is being updated by another instance"?) preventing access to Nightly updates.
