update changed my home screan
firefox updated and now your logo and search bar now takes up 1/2 my screen, the links are smaller and you changed 10 out of 32 of them on me. and why do we need 2 search bars anyways? who thought this was a good idea or would go over well? am i gonna have to do a system restore and never update firefox again or just quit using it?

You need to provide the screenshot of the error so others can verify what your seeing? Also what is the homepage that your using as well?
I assume that you are talking about the Firefox Home page with the tiles that got a restyle.
There are these prefs in about config that enable one of the variants, you can set them to false to get the previous layout.
- browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabLayouts.variant-a
- browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabLayouts.variant-b

The Firefox home / new tab page has been getting various requested changes, such as wallpaper options. I don't know whether anyone has suggested removing the search bar (but if you do, using the checkbox on the Settings page, it doesn't seem to save any space right now).
If you have a specific layout preference, you can create a thread on the Mozilla Connect site, which is available through
menu button > Help > Share ideas and feedback
or at
