You don't need to download Flash from Adobe; it should already be installed on your Maemo phone, but it's disabled by default in Firefox because it causes problems on some sites. You can download the YouTube Enabler plug-in to make Flash work on YouTube (where it doesn't cause any known problems):

Try typing "fennec -safe-mode" into the "X Terminal" application. If that works, then you can go into the Firefox add-ons manager and disable extensions until you find the one that is causing the problem.
