I would like to surf the web in private ... My tools tab doesnt show private browsing or to delete history either. I have a lap top. My PC has this feature but my lap top does not. I downloaded the new version of fire fox too. can u please help me with this. thanks you joy

The Firefox 3.0.19 version that you are using doesn't have Private Browsing. You need to update to Firefox 3.5 or 3.6 to get that Private Browsing feature. In one of the next days Firefox 4.0 will be released, so you can wait for that version to get the latest Firefox release.
