I just installed FF4 and am facing a whole host of problems. Let's start with the tabs. I can't close them, and only the first tab is accessible. How do I navigate to other tabs? For example, from the Help menu I clicked on Firefox Help but then couldn't access that newly opened tab to get help. (I am accessing FF Help from Chrome right now.) Also my default start-up settings, i.e. starting websites, are not working. Also Firefox and Mozilla Firefox don't not appear in my programs list on the Start menu, s I can't start FF in safe mode. That's enough for now.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
