Why can't I Drag & Drop a link from my address bar to my Bookmarks Toolbar in 4.0? I have the toolbar activated, but I can't do this. I was able to do it no problem with 3.6.
Drag & Drop for bookmarking a link from Address bar to Bookmarks Toolbar is not working in 4.0. Was working in 3.6, then I upgraded to 4.0 and everything got screwed up. How can I fix this?
Chosen solution
Instead of dragging the link, try dragging the favicon/site identity button that is on the left hand edge of the address bar onto the bookmarks toolbar. That should allow you to add a bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar.

You're right chronicman69 - I can no longer drop & drag links either.. That, and countless other changes were encountered when I mistakenly switched to Firefox 4. I'm going to try using some of the instructions others have put on here of ditching Firefox 4 until they get the bugs worked out.
I wish Mozilla Firefox would issue a statement on all of the complaints they're receiving.. But until then, kudos to the volunteers logging on here who are trying to help.

Thanks TonyE! That worked like a charm.
You're welcome
I ditched 4.0 and went back to 3.6.17 but I can't drag and drop with it either. The Favicom idea didn't work for me either. Once in a great while it will work, but usually that ends up screwing up my bookmarks and everything being re-arranged. How could something so simple and basic NOT WORK anymore?
I have read that there are about 5 or 6 other add-ons that also inhibit Drag and Drop functionality, not just the Torbutton add-on. The list is somewhere in the main Firefox support section (but it's tough to find the answer there twice).
