Can Firefox alert me when a website updates its information, which happens often?

First some details regarding my situation:

I get work for a company that posts available jobs onto a website which is updated regularly, several times per hour. Once the jobs are posted they are picked up by the first person who sees and accepts the job. I have no way of knowing when the jobs will be posted and most of the time when I log in to the site the jobs have already been picked up.

Is there a way that Firefox can alert me when the new jobs are posted to this website?

Have you looked for a Firefox Add-on which adds a feature like that to Firefox?
